With a strong foundation of smoothly functioning sensory, perceptual-motor, and visual systems, young children are likely to succeed at home, at school, and out and about. Lacking these three components, which Carol Kranowitz and Joye Newman consider necessary building blocks for being “In-Sync,” children may falter and fall behind their peers.
